Happy New Year (HNY) - July 1 (7-1) Club

Why join the Club Happy New Year 7-1? In the United States, Public School fiscal years go from July 1st through June 30th (NYEve).  The new school year starts effectively July 1st! It should be celebrated, because effective that day, the previous school year is over, and we get a fresh start, like the other new years.  

 

The Club is a group of like-minded people, who agree with the idea of a sense of urgency to improve student achievement and eliminate the achievement gap, with decisions and actions being made, starting day one, July 1st.

 

The goal is to bring attention and change to the current state of education,  to all stakeholders, including students, parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, school board members, University partners, community and civic organizations and the list goes on.

 

The club will be used to share practices, principles, observations, reflections celebrations, things that work and ahas.
